Rica's was born out of a deep passion for food and drinks that bring joy to my life. My love for chocolate, champagne, and coffee fuels the indulgence side of my business, but I also believe in balance. That’s why at Rica’s, we showcase the best in fresh juices—straight from the fruits and vegetables I’ve worked with for years. Having grown up in the fruit and vegetable industry with my family, I’ve learned firsthand the importance of quality. That means when you enjoy our juices, you’re tasting only the purest, freshest produce with absolutely nothing else added.

 

When I created Rica’s, I wanted it to be an eatery that I would love to visit myself. Every detail, from the cup your coffee is served in to the cheese in our toasties, has been carefully thought out to provide the kind of experience I would expect—quality, comfort, and warmth in every bite and sip.

 

In January 2024, I became a mum to the happiest baby in the world, and that opened up a whole new chapter for me. It was then that I decided to introduce Rica’s Playhouse—a unique space that combines everything we love about our cafe with a dedicated play area for children. Unlike most play cafes, our playhouse is an addition to our established cafe, not the other way around. We’ve maintained our core ethos of quality, comfort, and passion, while offering a safe, fun space for kids to play. It’s a place where families can relax and enjoy the same attention to detail we put into everything else.

 

Running my own business has been a journey of growth, both professionally and personally. It’s been challenging, especially since becoming a mum, but it’s also been incredibly rewarding. With the support of my amazing husband and the dreams of my daughter, I’m learning every day how to balance it all. Rica’s is more than just a cafe; it’s a reflection of my experiences, passions, and the love I have for my family. Thank you for being part of this adventure.
